Ok, I have to ask. What do you do with all these ducks? I only went out for ducks once and since I've never eaten them I didn't know what to do with em.
I would love to get out there again especially since I live on the water, but what do I do with all the ducks? I thought about taking them to the local chinese take out   I'm also concerned about all the DEC regulations on Duck hunting, which I am clueless about. I guess it's like anything else, just need to do some homework. Where would I get the season dates and info?

happy Hunting not too many days left...

Well I’m not going to lie, I don’t eat all the duck’s but I try to keep the ones that are indeed edible. I mount a lot of them with the help of my dad once the season ends. I will post some picture of them one day. My dad is recently retired and I definitely keep him busy with the mounting LOL. He does the prep work on a Friday and I go over on Saturday and do the mounting part. It is really time consuming, but by splitting up the work it makes it much quicker and more enjoyable. I also use some as coyote bait upstate. As for the regulations, it’s not that bad. You need to call up and get a HIP # which takes 2 min it’s all automated. The number to call is on the back of your hunting license. You need a small game license and a federal duck stamp. You can get the duck stamp at any post office. Also steal shot is required when hunting ducks and you need to have a plug in your gun so that it holds only 3 shells. Once you get started it becomes addicting and it also helps improve your shooting ability so when you’re upstate shooting small game the shots don’t seem as hard. The link for the season dates is below:
